branding

This month, I spent most of my documenting my branding process. I’ve done so through different camera angles, screenshots, and recordings — 50gb in total. I’m not looking forward to watching it all, but I am looking forward to filtering out the good stuff.
That aside, I’ve also created a case study on it which you can browse through over here. This is something I’ve been planning to do since the early stages and I’m proud to say that it is finally complete. I believe it will serve as a benchmark to my future designs and a reminder to further elevate my quality in professionalism in a visual presentation.
There are many ways to do this, but I believe one of the most effective methods is to understand your brand, before finding suitable images to drive the point home. In my case, what I wanted to showcase was my versatility in design on different mediums while storytelling the process in an engaging way. Comparing to my past selves, I’ve improved a lot in this aspect and here are 4 pointers that may help you better present your brand identity too.
1. Always keep your WIPs, it is proof of work that can be used as content (eg: time-lapse, montage)
2. Start off with a visual hook, this could be a flashy gif or an image that sparks curiosity
3. Share insights in bite-sized sections, so it doesn’t overwhelm the reader
4. You are your brand, find ways to add your personal touch – it adds character
