Recently, I’ve decided to post more about fitness. I’ve always had the intention to, because it has changed my life and kept me grounded over the years. Except, I don’t enjoy the way most gym bros do it so I’ve been experimenting on how to do it my way.
So I thought, “I like fitness, I like anime, I like pixel art. I’ll fuse all three!” The idea sounded silly at first but then I remembered growing up watching Zoro lifting weights in every odd episode. It was definitely my fuel for motivation when I first started and what I’m getting at here is that I’m certain there are others who can learn from anime characters too. There’s just something really inspiring about watching your favourite characters train hard to achieve their godly, near-impossible physiques. It’s all fiction, until it’s not.
I’m not entirely sure where I’ll be steering this idea towards yet, but I’m happy to share my love for the genres. It was also really fulfilling for me to watch Zoro do bicep curls as a pixel character. At the bottom, I quoted Apollo when he was training with Rocky because that’s how I’m motivating myself to stay up and write about this while my body melts into the chair, exhausted from the day.
