2024 recap

2024 recap

Life

recap, growth, travel

Here we are again, last day of the year. There was a lot I promised myself to do this year and I’m glad I kept my word for the most part. I tried a lot this year, really embracing that ‘fuck up and find out’ energy. It’s led to earlier mornings and later nights, but through it, I learned that investments are rewarding, pixel art is therapeutic, web dev is advantageous, coding is useful, my art style has improved, 3D design is worth learning, I can fight and I have the ability to lead.

The last 2 points are surprising to me because it’s something my past self didn’t believe in. I’m proud to have broken that spell, yet the feeling is jarring. It’s similar to when I first recognised my growth in the mirror from training in the gym. In this case, it’s not as obvious as a flex in front of the mirror, but rather feedback I’ve gotten from the people around me. I’m thankful for the opportunities thus far, may it pave the way to a fruitful 2025.

Here’s a short list of what’s stood out to me this year:

  • created the 3rd version of my website

  • completed my 4th year of Inktober
